MATHS

The Department of Mathematics started in the year 1994 combines leading mathematical and interdisciplinary research with high quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching .We work over a wide range of specialised interests in the areas of pure mathematics (including algebra, geometry, analysis and number theory), applied mathematics (including continuum mechanics and mathematical biology), mathematical physics (including quantum information, quantum field theory and quantum gravity), mathematical finance and statistics.

To promote and support a comprehensive, innovative and dynamic learning environment that meets the changing needs of a diverse global student population

Mission
To provides meaningful support services, responds to the changing environment of mathematics education and also to promote effective instructional strategies with students actively participating in the learning process
