The Oxford college of pharmacy, one of the flagships of Oxford Group of Institutions. Managed by Children’s Education Society was started in the year 1992 & PG Course (Pharmacognosy) in the year 2005. Dedicated staff, excellent facilities and a committed management have effectively combined to make The Oxford College of Pharmacy a name to cherish with.

The Oxford College of Pharmacy has always aimed at developing students into good citizens who are not only good human beings but also capable of contributing to the improvement of pharmacy profession in particular and society in general.

The Scope

A Pharmacist is a vital link between patient and Doctors. He formulates various drugs dosage forms like Capsules, Tablets, Syrups, Injectables etc., whether of Synthetic or natural origin. Development of drug involves sound knowledge at molecular level its synthesis, designing, pharmacological and toxicological studies, analytical methods, post marketing survelliance and Clinical investigations converging with this field is three great technologies like Bio-technology, Information-technology and Nano-Technology.

I. B.PHARM

Salient Feature:

Four years B.Pharm students get recruited in various Indian and Multinationals Pharmaceutical and Health Insurance Companies immediately after their exams even before the results are declared.

The Eligibility Criteria

Should have passed the Pre-University examination of Karnataka Pre-University Board, or an equivalent examination conducted by any other board/ pre-university, or 10+2 or equivalent examinations. Should have minimum 50% marks aggregate in any combination of PCM or PCB. (40% in case SC/ST/Group A candidates).

*Candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy exams conducted by an authority approved by the Pharmacy Council Of India with minimum 60% of marks are eligible for admission for second B.Pharm course.

Admission Procedure

Admission to the course is decided by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by personal interview.

II. M.PHARM

Salient Feature:

A 2-year full time degree course affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, recognized by Government of Karnataka and approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The course is designed to impart thorough training in all theoretical and practical aspects of Pharmacognosy.

Two years M.Pharm students get recruited in various Indian and Multinationals Pharmaceutical and Health Insurance Companies immediately after their exams even before the results are declared.
