About the Department
The department stands on the ground floow of THE OXFORD DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL and acts as a scanner of the patients from where they are referred to the concerned departments for specific treatment.
This department focuses on the development of competence in clinical examination and diagnosis of oral and dental diseases, the formulation of individual treatment plans for patients. It also involves control and prevention of oral and dental diseases by clinical evaluation and education of patients towards the pattern of behaviour, conducive to good oral hygiene, habits and diet.
The undergraduate and postgraduate students acquire the skill and art of taking and interpreting various oral and skull radiographs, as well as other advanced imaging techniques, that help them in making a definitive diagnosis.
They achieve the necessary training to diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of academically and clinically competent faculty members.
The total built area of the department is about 10,733 sq.ft. which is divided into following sections:-
