The Civil Engineering is playing a major role in the development of our Country through creating new infrastructure like buildings, mass transit system, water treatment units, waste management system, etc. The development of a country is today judged by the infrastructure available in the country. Further, with enhanced standard of living, the necessity of protecting the environment has been very much realized by the developed as well as developing countries. The Civil Engineers play a key role in the above aspects.

The Oxford College of Engineering, realizing the requirements of Civil Engineers in our Country, has taken up the project for adding a new programme, B.E. - Civil Engineering and has obtained AICTE/VTU approval for starting the programme from the academic year 2008-09. The College has got all the necessary infrastructure to support and facilitate the new programme.
