| Discipline
Indian College and School of Nursing expect a
high level of discipline and decorum from students,
which shows up in a disciplined approach. Students
are expected to be smartly dressed at all occasions
and are required to follow the prescribed dress
code for theory classes and clinicals. Students
who do not fulfill the attendance requirement
Prescribed by the University/ Board, will not
be allowed to take up the Annual Examinations.
For the B.Sc. Nursing programme, it is 80% and
75% for the Diploma Programme.
Ragging in any form is viewed seriously by the
Management and anyone found indulging in it would
face severe punishment that extends to summary
dismissal. Ragging is also an offence under the
Karnataka Education Act, 1983.
Uniform
The students are required to wear the uniform
prescribed by the Institution. The uniform will
be stitched by the Institution and the student
will have to bear the cost of it.
Withdrawal and Dismissal
If any student decides to withdraw voluntarily
from the institution, during training period or
at any stage before completing the course, the
student pay back to the college all the money
spent on him by the college.
The college reserves the right to terminate any
student whose work or conduct is not found satisfactory
during the period of training.
Student Health Programme
A comprehensive health programme is available
to all students. Students undergo a complete medical
check up on admission and thereafter every year.
Library
An excellent library having volumes covering from
basics to advanced concepts in the field of Nursing
and all other related fields are at the disposal
of the students. It enhances their learning process.
The Library at Indian College and School of Nursing
also has the reference materials needed for deeper
understanding of the subject. The library also
subscribes a variety of journals and magazines
related to the field of Nursing.
Laboratories
Well-equipped laboratories with all modern equipment
and supplies are provided by the College &
School to enable students learn and master the
skills of nursing more perfectly.
Hostel
Hostel facilities are available for boys with
comfortable lodging and a homely atmosphere.
Extra curricular
and Recreation
Extra curricular activities in the form of both
indoor/ outdoor and cultural activities are encouraged.
A variety of recreational, cultural and social
events are organized in time to time. Students
are encouraged
to participate in activities of their choice.
Bank Counter
An extension counter of a nationalized bank, Vijaya
Bank, exists and operates within the campus for
the benefit and convenience of the students.
Caution Deposit
A Caution Deposit prescribed by the Management
is required to be paid at the time of admission.
This deposit is intended to compensate for any
damage or loss of the Institution’s property
by the student. The amount shall be refunded after
deductions, if any, at the time of issue of the
Degree Certificate to the student.
Transport
Indian College and School of Nursing have their
own fleet of buses for the use of students for
clinicals.
