The Master of Business Administration is the flagship Programme. The Oxford College of Business Management is a two - year (4 Semester) full time degree course affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi. You are awarded M.B.A from Bangalore University one of the biggest universities in the world, designed to prepare you to acquire skills, attributes and capabilities to reach responsible global positions in management.

To enable this status the course employs a combination of theoretical and experiential learning to give you the right attitude and confidence to manage. Our dynamic teaching professionals give contemporary inputs and practical examples in a user-friendly environment.

High tech Learning

The Campus is having wi-fi facility wherein the students can use their laptop any where in the campus. Internet facility is available on these machines.

The High tech digital classroom has the capability of saving the discussion points written on the digital board. This will help the students to look into the lessons whenever they feel like. In fact it will help them to interact with faculty for any clarification or further discussion on the subject. Many of the latest information is also fed on the system for students to get benefited.

Industrial Training Project: (Internship)

After second semester, as a part of the program, students go through interactive & on-shore training project for eight to ten weeks in an industrial, business or a service Organization. The training will be under the supervision of faculty/industry/institution guide. The student submits a project report to the Organization on the study undertaken by him. This will give an opportunity for the students to interact with industry executives of all related departments, which will bring out their intrinsic skills and identify their own strong capability for nurturing. This will also help them to understand how a project report is made in real life.

Dissertation:

Will commence in the III semester, is of 12 credits, which is equivalent to 2 elective courses. Thus the choice of topic and depth of the subjects are significant keeping in view the weightage workload and learning experience. Students are encouraged to choose a topic for dissertation in their areas of specializations. In this process student will be concentrating on his area of interest/specialization.

Eligibility:

Candidates who have passed Bachelors degree (10+2+3), Masters degree examination of any recognized university in any subject; in Commerce, Management, Arts, Engineering/Technology or Equivalent and have scored not less than 50% of marks (45% for SC/ST Candidates) in the Bachelor's degree examinations in aggregate are eligible for admission to this course.

It is believed and found by experience that any improvement in learning, teaching and individual progress can be achieved by the teamwork of faculty and management. Students' feedback will become essential to understand and improve the efficacy of the dynamic inputs. Keeping this in mind efforts are made to involve faculty and students both in formal & informal interactions.  
FACILITIES

Institution has a well equipped and a comprehensive library, which offers students with all the reference material, they require for an in-depth understanding of their specific subjects. The library also subscribes for journals on the relevant subjects.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls that are comfortable and reasonably priced.

Vijaya Bank, a nationalized bank, has a branch in the campus for facilitating easy financial transactions

LIBRARY & COMPUTER CENTER - Corridors of Serious Learning

The Oxford College of Business Management has an excellent library that offers the reference materials needed for deeper understanding of the subjects. The library has well stocked books of recent standard publications. Library is kept open extra hours during the time of examinations. The ambience and infrastructure gives a conducive atmosphere for the students to study for long hours. The committee consisting of faculty and student representatives specially selects the books. Journals and magazines are of international standards where students can get access to information on latest developments across the globe.

The Computer Centre at the oxford offers range of hardware and several application packages. Faculties trained in IT technology are available for the students for clarification & consultation. Dedicated radio link for internet connectivity is available for information acquisition.

The Placement office at the college plays a major role and facilitates our students in securing both summer and final Placements. Large number of students receives advance offers much before their completion of studies not only from organizations where they did summer project but also from other organizations. The Placement office has a good networking where our alumni have continuous interactions.

The alumni is well represented by our ex-students of the college. Our alumni extend their assistance to inform the college about Project and Job opportunities.

Regularly students are invited in batches to the placement center and they are given inputs, which are useful for them to face the interviews & group dynamic situations. Placement center at the Oxford College of Business Management has been quite effective & the success rate has been nearly 100%. HRD Managers & industrialists are called regularly to speak to our students to broaden their own capabilities as well as understand market needs. Feedbacks are taken from the various organizations where our Oxfordites are working to update our dynamic information bank. These feedbacks are used for betterment of imparting knowledge to students at the placement center. Innovative actions are taken to improve our brand equity. Frequently discussions are held with many placement consultants across India for improvement. Many times our faculty members are requested to give that extra input to the students for taking up the challenges with good value systems to improve self & herald for the image of Oxford Institutions. The Placement Center assists the candidates in getting good jobs in national & multinational industries. We have on our database the lists of industries. The details of the candidates are also maintained on the database for quick reference & matching. Platforms for interactions with industries are regularly organized. Over fifty organizations participate in the final placement process annually.
