MCA-Admission Procedure

It is mandatory to write entrance test for MCA conducted by Universities/ Apex bodies state level or national level. Those who get through the test are eligible to take admission for MCA Programme.

Eligibility:
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from Bangalore University or any other University recognized as equivalent there to with Mathematics / Computer Science/ Statistics /electronics as compulsory subject at 10+2 or Degree level. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination before the month of July to be eligible for admission in the month of July/August .

Admission Procedure:
Admission to the MCA programme is simple. It requires writing of a test as said above, which tests language skills in English, reasoning ability and aptitude for management. This will be followed by a group discussions and a personal interview of candidates. If you successfully pass the requirements, you will be admitted to the MCA programme.

Project Work:
Each student should develop a software package on any platform related to the field of his specialization. The student shall develop the package under the supervision of a guide. The package so developed should be submitted along with the project reports to the Head of the Department.

Discipline:

The Oxford College of Science expects a high level of maturity from students, which shows up in a disciplined approach. You are expected to be smartly dressed at all times and follow the prescribed dress code.

Attendance of a minimum 75% of the classes in every subject(both theory & Practical) during an academic session is mandatory. Students who do not fulfill this requirement will not be allowed to take up the University Examinations.

Extra Curricular Activities:

Extra Curricular Activities in the form of games both indoor / outdoor and cultural activities are encouraged.
