The Trimester Scheme
The Government of Karnataka has introduced certain reforms in Education starting with Primary and Secondary Education. As a part of reforms the Government has introduced TRIMESTER SCHEME for classes 1 to 9 from the academic year 2004-05.
The academic year is split into three units spread over three months each from 2004-05.

Promotion:
- The declaration of results of the child should depend on his/her performance throughout the year.
- The average grade obtained by the child in the three semesters is taken for promoting the child to the next higher class.
- For promotion to the next higher class, the child should have obtained atleast C+ in each subject in atleast two trimesters apart from minimum prescribed attendance.
