The
Oxford Educational Institution under the aegis of Children’s
Education Society? was founded by Sri S. Narasaraju, in the
year 1974. The Oxford College of Science is a prestigious
part of the 27 institutions and 85 different courses under
the umbrella of Children’s Education Society. Four postgraduate
courses in life sciences, namely Microbiology, Biotechnology,
Biochemistry and Applied Genetics are offered by the college.
It offers a platform for the students, helping them to gain
a broad scientific and in-depth knowledge in their subject
of specialization. With proper infrastructure to cater to
the needs of different streams, the institution is committed
to impart knowledge in an atmosphere that is conducive for
learning. The presence of dedicated, highly qualified and
competent faculty has brought the Department of Biotechnology
of The Oxford College of Science to the No.1 position in the
state of Karnataka and the 3rd position in India, as has been
recently ranked by Biospectrum, a leading Biotechnology magazine.
