The primary concern of nurse is to provide a high quality, up-to-date health care to clients. Whether the nurse is practicing in a community setting, acute care facility, long term care agency, or one of the myriad of practice setting, an underlying expectation is that the nurse will provide comprehensive care and will continually see to incorporate current knowledge into daily practice protocols. Increasing consumer expectations and health care finance constraints make this charge ever challenging. Nurse must challenge themselves to see better, more cost effective nursing strategies while not compromising clients health care needs. Nursing research is the key to provide appropriate nursing services.
Keeping the above concept in view the ‘Oxfo – Nightingale’ have organized a national symposium on Beyond the Millennium – Evidence Based Nursing on 28th & 29th of March 2007.
The overall aim of the symposium is to develop an understanding regarding the current concept of Evidence based Nursing in all the clinical areas of nursing specialties, secondly to create an awareness to incorporate research finding in to nursing practice to promote quality care.
The symposium is composed of 6 plenary session & each session consists of Lecture on Evidence based Nursing – practice in clinical specialities and research priorities by eminent nursing personalities from all over India. At the end of each day we would like to entertain with the cultural programmers performed by our nursing students.
We believe that this symposium would be a true opportunity for the participants to upgrade their Knowledge on Evidence based Nursing – practice and get back home with the more focused vision on Nursing. We take this opportunity to invite you to participate and make Oxfo Nightingale - 07 a grand success.
