PHYSICS
 Conducted one day workshop on nanotechnology and recent Trends
The Department of physics was incepted in 1994 under the college of science. It offers two combinations of UG courses with Physics, Mathematics,Computer science (PMCs) and Physics,Mathmatics,Electrnics(PME).
The Department provides basic physics foundation through Lecture and Laboratory that helps the student for their career both in Research and Technology. Physics is the fundamental science which explains almost every aspect of world from small particle like atom to great cluster of galaxies .Hence the employment prospects for physics student are excellent both in India and abroad. A degree with physics is like a gateway to enter into the world class institutes like IISc, IIT, ISRO, BARC, DRDO,IIA etc.
 
The Department has well furnished Laboratory with all advanced equipments , good Infrastructure and state of art facilities, good spacious class rooms and excellent Library facilities. It has well qualified and dedicated Lecturers.
Activities
- Students are encouraged to participate in various National seminar and symposium
- The department is organizing visits to science centres, science museum and Research Institutes.
- Students have participated in various intercollegiate competitions like Lecture competition, Essay competitions
- To commemorate National science day competitions are conducted in the Department .
- Students are also encouraged to do small projects
